About me

I took my first breath underwater in the year 2000 when I was on holiday in Phi Phi Island, Thailand. I have always been interested in photography so in 2006 I bought my first underwater camera setup and I have never looked back. My Olympus C-7070 Wide Zoom was housed in an Ikelite housing accompanied by two Ikelite DS125 SubStrobes. This setup was to serve me well for many years to come. It was a fantastic combination and it won me 3rd prize in the newcomer category in the BSAC Photographic Competition 2009. I have now moved over to a full frame camera. I’m the proud owner of a Canon 5D MkIII and I hope that I can one day take this brilliant camera underwater. I have always loved travelling and I have been very lucky to dive in many different destinations all over the world; from the cold Scottish waters to the tropical seas of Maldives and Indonesia. Apart from underwater photography, I enjoy taking pictures of landscapes but I also occasionally like to do some portraiture (especially of my dog Norman) or anything else that may happen to catch my eye.
